Morton's Uncorked Tasting Series Contest, and New Menu Additions!

Opinions.  We all have 'em.  We all love to share 'em.  Rarely though does anyone want to hear them though! Well Morton's is changing all that!  For their next installment of their Uncorked Tasting Series they are asking for YOUR opinion on which wines they should feature!

Each month Morton's Back Bay location hosts a tasting evening in which five wines are paired with five hors d'oeurves.  I have been hearing about these evenings from friends for a while and have heard rave reviews about the whole evening which starts at 6:30 pm and runs until 8:00 pm.  

Now here's the fun part- for the next event, which is being held on August 30th, Morton's is asking YOU to tell them what wines you would like to see featured. Sky's the limit here so you know that bottle that you've been dieing to try but don't want to fork over the cash for it?  Suggest it to Morton's and they just might feature it.  An added bonus- if you are the winning entry- you will actually win your admission (normally $40.00) and the admission for three of your friends!  That's a deal that you just cannot beat!

Entries must be received by August 26th, please submit them to cm.mbo@mortons.com.  Also, if you want to go but don't have the winning suggestion- just give Morton's a call at 617-266-5858 to make reservations.  Tickets are $40.00 per person.

While we're on the subject of Morton's- I thought I would also take the opportunity to let you know about their new menu items!  I have always loved their Bar 12-21 bar bites menu-it has some really solid options on it for really great prices. Now they have added on to that original menu with two additions- a trio of crab cake sliders, and a smoked salmon pizza enhanced with capers, dill and sour cream.  Just thinking about that and now I want a little salmon pizza...

In addition to all that- they have also brought in a brand new lunch offering that they are calling a Prime Lunch.  They are offering a full three course lunch all for $25.00 starting at 11:30 am through 2:30 pm Monday through Friday and only at their Seaport location.  This is really a great deal, especially when you consider the types of entrees included! After you enjoy a cup of soup or a salad, you choose between a Rib Eye Steak with mashed potatoes, shrimp and scallops with grilled vegetables, grilled salmon steak with green beans or Chicken Christopher served traditionally with garlic and shallot bread crumbs, and mashed potatoes.  Then they round out the whole lunch with your choice of either chocolate mousse or key lime pie.  

Somehow I see myself wandering on over to the Seaport Morton's for lunch very soon!
