How Do You Satisfy a Sweet Tooth?

You know what's weird?  This has been a surprisingly not slow week.  With the upcoming trip to Seattle looming next week (!) I had thought that this week would be a snails pace...somehow though it is just moving right along!  Now it is Thursday evening and here I am, relaxing after a productive day at work, a good gym session and a delicious dinner, with a glass of wine and, for the hundredth time... Julie and Julia.  I swear I have literally watched this movie a billion times.  It makes me happy.

But now, as I sit, watching and sipping....I desperately want something sweet to eat.  What is it about the end of a day that makes you want something sweet?  Is it that we want to reward ourselves for all of the hard work that we do all day?  A reward for successfully finishing another day?

Let's get to the important question though-  how do you satisfy a sweet tooth?  Right now my options appear to be a bowl of Peanut Butter Puffins, the front runner, or a stale ginger snap or two.  What is your sweet snack that you keep around for times like this?

Oh, I have SUCH a sweet tooth. I always keep a bar of good dark chocolate around. I find that just a little bit satisfies my craving. I also LOVE Ginger Chews by the Ginger People...so good!

Is it sad that my gummy vitamins do the trick? I think I like them better than regular gummies!

I always keep bite size chocolates in my fridge or freezer, and pop one or two after dinner. Right now, I have chocolate peanut butter bite-sized candies, and they make the best dessert - and since I only have one or two, I don't feel guilty about having them, either!

Now this is complicated...you might want to write it down. Open one bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips and pour a healthy amount into a bowl. Then throw a handful of raisins on top of the chocolate chips. Stir and eat. Perfection...
